DAY: 1 Visit Mabamba bay
Mabamba one of Uganda’s most important birding sight is located 12km west of Entebbe can be accessed by both road and water.
Famously known as home to the per-historical Shoe bill stock, where you stand 80% chances of spotting the elusive bird. It’s also home for over 300 bird species e.g. African Jacana, black crake, black-headed weavers etc. will not only catch eyes of birders but also none birders too.
After breakfast we shall be picked from our accommodations to embark on our journey to mabamba.
The drive will take us about an hour and a half we shall be birding for the whole day with a lunch break at the mabamba bay restaurant where we will get a chance to taste the local fresh tilapia or Nile perch from the swamp.
We shall later returning to the accommodation in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Kampala – Kidepo Valley National Park
After an early morning breakfast we shall transfer to Kidepo valley N.P, we shall have a lunch stopover in Gulu. After we will continue to our accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Kidepo Valley National Park
Morning game drive with chances of seeing Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, Rothschild’s Giraffes, Cheetahs and Warthogs among others. Lunch and the rest of the afternoon at leisure at the accommodation we shall then Head out for an evening game drive in the northern part (Ostriches territory) of the park with highlights being the Kidepo Sand River, Kanataruk hot springs and Ostriches. After the activity we shall return to our accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast, drive to Mt. Murongole which is occupied by the IK people, Hiking the mountain to visit the IK community and IK community experience, Sometimes called Teuso. the IK people are a rapidly evolving ethnic group of about 10,000 people in the mountains of north-east Uganda near the border with Kenya. The IK live in several small villages arranged in clusters comprising their community. Each village is surrounded by an outer wall, then portioned into family/friend “neighborhoods” called odoks, each surrounded by a wall. Each Odok is sectioned into walled households called asaks, with front-yards for community-based interactions, and in some cases, granaries. Get to experience their culture, dance with them, taste their local brews, foods, and learn their ways of life we shall return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 5: Kidepo Valley National Park – Gulu
Check out of accommodation and drive Gulu City which is the largest and most developed town in northern Uganda (Acholi land) we shall check in at our accommodation, have lunch and take the rest of the afternoon at leisure, Later in the evening, visit the Acholi royal palace to learn more about their culture and ways of life after return to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Gulu – Murchison Falls National Park
After our breakfast we shall embark on our journey to Murchison Falls National Park. This is the largest conservation area in Uganda with over 76 mammal species and over 451 bird species, the highlight of this park is the Murchison Falls which is the world’s most powerful waterfalls. We will check in at the accommodation and have lunch in preparation of Heading to Paraa landing site where all boat cruises start. This boat cruise leads to the bottom of the falls. On this boat safari there are chances of seeing Nile Crocodiles, Hippos, Elephants, Rothschild’s Giraffes, Buffaloes and numerous water birds among others. After the boat safari we will head back to the accommodation, have dinner and overnight stay

Day 7: Murchison Falls National Park
After our breakfast we shall check out of accommodation and set of for our morning game drive on the northern bank of the park with chances of seeing animals like Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Rothschild’s Giraffes and Leopards among others, different bird species like the horn bills, bee eaters, raptors etc. We shall later drive to the top of the falls for a hike up and down to experience an up-close encounter with the mighty Murchison Falls (world’s most powerful waterfalls) at the “Devil’s Cauldron” after we shall after transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for overnight.

DAY: 8 Rhino tracking and transfer to Entebbe
This sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can track the White Rhinos. While at Ziwa, you also get to see other animals like the Uganda Kobs, Sitatunga, Bushbucks and a number of bird species. After our breakfast we shall head out to track the gentle giants, Endangered Northern white rhinos, after the activity we shall have lunch and the set off for Entebbe for souvenir shopping and our scheduled flight.
